Say WHAT?!? A local Chevrolet Dealer in Toronto told me today that he heard that the ZL1 won't be sold in Canada!

Now come on!!! It's gonna be made in Oshawa just outside of Toronto! Makes no sense to me!

Told me more details are coming in November....

It would really piss me off if I had to travel across the border to get a car that's made next to my own small town of Ajax, Ontario!! I"m only 15 minutes to the Oshawa plant for Pete's sake!!

Its a car salesman. He was probably trying to get the OP into a Corvette today instead of a ZL1 in 6 months.

On an upnote, If Chevrolet Canada were stupid enough to not offer them in Canada, we can buy them in the U.S.of A. where they are cheaper, and bring them across with no hassles about buying from US dealers, because they aren't available from Canadian dealers......
I really can't see that though...The backlash from Canadian dealers would be pretty huge considering there are probably a few deposits placed already.

You know that most people that work in car dealerships have the intelligence equal to that of a 7th grade dropout right? Specifically but not limited to the salespersons and people that work in the service department.

when I went to buy my Cobalt SS in 2008, I went to the dealer to place my order for a new turbo LNF Cobalt... the 1st salesman I talked to said "you mean supercharged"... I then explained in detail all about the new direct injected 2.0L borg-wagner K04 turbocharged Cobalt that I was TRYING to order from him... "nope, the SS Cobalt is supercharged, I think you are thinking about the SRT4 Neon(which was no longer in production in 2008, lol)"

FINALLY as I was walking out of the dealership the guy who I ended up buying that car(and my Camaro from) stopped me from leaving and was like "yeah, i've been reading up on its release"... he got me in one by the middle of June(they had a late April release and I was late getting my order in, so not too bad)

point of the story, if you heard it at a dealership, you had better consider the source, most of them are barely salesman and usually definitely not car people
