spare tire

has anyone put a spare dognut spare tire ,I have a 2012 convertible and would like to put a spare in truck,due to the fact it a vert,I already loose half the space,anyone know if there is a spare dougnut tha fits from possibly a nother make,, thanks

thanks,boy it sure sucks that it gonna cost about a grand to get one sent to canada,sure wish there was something cheaper,I`ll look into it,thanks again

I believe someone on here used a donut from, I think, an X5 that fits. when I looked for one, the cost of a used one of those was pretty much the same as the website I quoted.

It only has to fit over the 4 piston Brembo's on the front so my suggestion is to see if the Caddy ATS came with a spare tire.

They came with the 4 piston Brembo's on the front that the Gen 6 Camaro has.

BTW I say only the front because you never put a donut on the drive wheels as you will lunch your posi.

My suggestion is just buy an CAA membership for 10 years

My caddy ats doesn`t come with one either,funny, wrecking yards don`t track them either,

And you don't need a distance pad to avoid the brake caliper.

I think the X5 is/was new for 2020

Glad there is a solution for people that want one.

thanks,I ended up ordering a rim and tire from performance,should get for next week,tire is good for 80,000 so it won`t need replacing,now to get a jack,will post what I got so others know

I got the spare,got a jack from princess auto,the rim fits car and clear everything,tools in next to battery and opened jack enough to fit between seat and wheel cover since it is now raised up,I`m all set if I need a spare,thanks to everyone that helped,maybe this will help someone else

It took me 2 years to find the spare tire. Found it on a e bay site called Auto Pharmacy who had 1 in Texas. So it cost $330 delivered to my door with exchange and duty. But want i had found out after talking with MANY salvage yards is a 2011-2017 caprice has the same donut spare and some years of BMW models. Hope this helps with anyone looking.
