The red one looks good to me, but the last gen looks better IMHO. Never understood for the life of me why the shark fin antenna is not centered on the back of the cab

The front-end design looks like an angry Mitusbishi.

Here's a too short video of the new 3.0L in-line 6 Duramax Diesel caught in the wild out and about in Colorado validation testing from a viewer motrolix.

Don't these FE and tow ratings fall short of F-150 again?

For example, 17/23/19 for the 3.5EB and 16/20/17 for the 6.2. The Ford with 13,200 towing capacity and the Chevy with 12,200.

Yes, and now you have to get 4WD if you want the 6.2. I have no need for the extra expense, weight, and maintenance penalty of 4WD. Seems like they are only conceding market share with these moves by making the 6.2 almost impossible to find or ridiculously expensive.

Yeah...doesn't really make sense to me. Why not let people pay more for the 6.2 and make it available for most of the trims? I'm not seeing a case here where this would result in added expense or complexity for Chevy.

In the F150, you can get the 3.5EB or the 5.0 in most trims. Maybe Chevy thinks customers will just look at the HP ratings and not the torque ratings of the 5.3 vs the 3.5EB.

I think GM is banking on people buying the top trims to get the engine, and that any sales lost are negated by the profits from people 'up buying'. I'm not convinced this is the best strategy, but it could work.

I'm not convinced they have any clue what they're doing when they don't offer the diesel or the 6.2 in the Trail Boss. You know, the TRAIL BOSS.

That is a terrible strategy. If I am buying a truck to do truck stuff and truck stuff only, I probably want the most capable truck with the most powerful engine. I can get that in a Ford, not in a GM.

I would understand it if it was the other way around, like the top level trim only has one engine choice and it's the "premium engine"

I'm gonna need a truck fairly soon..this has my interest..it will boil down to new style or discounted old style..a 5% increase in MPG isn't gonna move me either way..so I'm listening lol..

Oh yeah, its awful for the buying public. But that rarely stops an MBA from obeying what the spreadsheet decrees to be most profitable.
