I think there's room for both ...

I'd be interested in a model priced between the SS and ZL1, and it seems the obvious way is with the 7.0 engine from the Corvette Z06; 500 hp and $47 k. I'd sacrifice the close-ratio gearbox to avoid gas-guzzler tax (and no cylinder deactivation or idle-stop, deal-killers both.)

The chassis as described sounds appealing, but given the weight advantage of the Boss Mustang, more than the Camaro's standard engine is needed. I'm not a fan of black wheels (rapidly becoming cliche.)

I'd also like to see a seat option, with substantially better support for lateral loads (really, the steering wheel is for changing direction, not something to hold for keeping myself from sliding out of the seat!)

I'd prefer the bodywork modifications to be in the same color as the car (unless they're carbon.)

Well, if we can get the 1LE into production as an SS upgrade, perhaps it would be a much shorter step, then, to get an "upgrade of an upgrade"...

Just a thought...

That makes sense,I pay 10 grand more for a slower car :( If i buy a ZL1 and they make a lower priced car that is faster than the King! I would never buy another GM car again! That would be the same as slapping me in the face with a dead fish! I want the king not the over priced court Jester!

If this model included a bump in hp, lighter weight, and handling upgrades I would be interested. Pricing would have to be substancially below the ZL1 though.
