I've been reading post that the price of the camaro will be going up once production starts, I understand that this is an awesome looking car, however a price increase in these hard economical times= FAIL.

OK if this is a rumor and is not true please do feel free and post otherwise.

AS far as I know, its a rumor. I honestly don't think they'll raise the price of the Camaro until they add the HUD or the 2011 MY.

considering they jacked the G8 up almost 2 grand the next year I'd be shocked if they didn't do the same w/ the camaro.

GM played this all wrong imo.

They're leaving their options open. Whether they'll do it or not is anyone's guess. But we won't know til it's official. Noone would leak something like this so it would all be purely speculation. Either they are at least considering it or they're just using the price protection stuff to scare people into preordering now.

I dunno, I got this official email from Chevy today:

"Counting down the days until you can get behind the wheel of your very own all new Camaro? You're in fast company. Less than one month remains to preorder one at introductory prices*. Be one of the first to own a true 21st-century sports car. Which one will you choose? It's available in a V6 with 304 hp and an estimated 27 MPG highway2 or in an SS, which generates 426 hp and goes from 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds.

To preorder, download a spec sheet and then go to a local dealer to place your order. Be sure to hold your place in line before March 15, 2009."

*Introductory pricing available only on bona fide sold customer orders submitted by an authorized Chevrolet dealer on or before March 15, 2009. See dealer for details.

Hints there could be a raise in price.........Did anyone else get this email too????

Impala's went up $750 and no one cared :::sigh:::
Vettes went up $1000
Malibu's went up
everything went up.

Since this is another thread, I will say it again. ORDER NOW TO LOCK IN TO THE CURRENT PRE-ORDER PRICING. If your car is delivered January 2010, you get the same price. Next February or March of 2010 .... or when ever...

We are not sure yet if it will increase but like UCF said, they are leaving their options open. Besides, for those who havent pre-ordered, that means your willing to wait, your patients will probably rewarded, not only will you get more options, but you could probably get the car less then MSRP and can have a better chance at 0% financing.
