You can get the Acadia with a NA I4 or a NA V6. I doubt the Blazer will be any different.

Not sure if a V8 option had already been confirmed/discussed.
And 1+1 = 11, right?

Its a blazer ... does it have to be any more complicated than that?

It was the rest of the pictures that makes me wonder, the cufflinks, sunglasses in the pocket, the pocket square. They very well could have just put them in there, but I figure they have some sort of reason to be there.

I'm more thinking the 4 cuff links = available 4WD or AWD.

Or it could mean a 4cyl only lineup. 2.5L, 2.0T, 1.6TD.

Isn't that more a given? Like how every other CUV has available AWD?

Yeah, but wouldn't stop GM from advertising it.

When you resurrect a classic off road 4x4 as a modern day, grocery getter mommy car, you have to find some way to connect them.

AWD and 4x4 are basically the same when the most demanding thing you do is hop a curb leaving the local Wal Mart.

I always chuckle when I see Jeep bragging about the off-road capability of things the Compass or Patriot. Nobody picks those Jeeps because they need a small crossover that can tackle a rough trail ... they buy them because they want to pretend like they could.

As for making the new Blazer a grocery getter for soccer moms ... isn't that what they were 15 years ago anyway? Sure it was still an SUV based on a truck, but just like with the Jr Jeeps, people who actually bought them to use the capability (vs 'ugh, I am NOT buying a minvan') were probably few and far between.

The last person I know who owned a Blazer was literally a soccer mom. Bought it used to take her kids to soccer practice, couldn't care less about off road capability.

Absolutely. Same goes for today. How many people that buy offroad oriented trucks and also Raptors, ZR2s, and Wrangler Rubicons are actually using them off road? Not all of them, and most that do that sort of thing are likely doing it very seldom. Then there's that small piece of people actually doing some real offroading.
