How much $$$ are you guy's paying for a Tune?

Don't know if this is a repost. I tried the search engine, but couldn't find anything. Anyways just wondering what everyone is paying for a tune on the SS's. I went to a shop here in Washington and they said it could be anywhere from $500-$700. Just wondering if this is about right everywhere else in the country?

Many shops/tuners charge a price for tuning and then a seperate price for dyno time.
Example - $400.00 for the tune and $80.00 for dyno time ($480.00 total).

If the tuner own the dyno shop, then he will just give you a combined price. Most will charge anywhere from $350.00 - $500.00 for a full dyno tune.

Many tuners also offer a "street tune." A street tune doesn't include putting your car on the dyno. Street tunes are cheaper $250.00 - $300.00 range.

Also, re-tunes for new setups. Most tuners offer a significant discount for a re-tune if you got your original tune from them.

I charge 170.00 Per hour N/A and 180.00 Per Hour Supercharged, combined dyno and tuning time.

License is separate 1 time fee if using HP tuners or you have to purchase a Trinity or Predator for access to your computer.

Typical tunes are 1-4 hours depending on mods.

We charge 500.00 for a HP Tuner Dyno Tune.

600.00 For Forced Induction

And 700.00 for 2 and 3 bar tune. Price incudes map sensor and all licenses required for the OS upgrade.

Since several of you are looking at this site, would I be correct in saying that I should expect 50 to 60 hp gain at the wheels over a stock LS with the following: ADM Street CAI, MagnaFlow 3" Comp. Series Exhaust, AR Long Tube Headers and a tune? I know it can vary but looking for ballpark.

It is very unusual for us to have to retune any cars unless the owner changes a major component like injectors, or MAF, Turbo, supercharger, or Cam and Heads etc.

In that case we have to take it hour by hour to make it perfect and don't want to rush you out the door to meet a low ball fixed price for a retune.

The changes to the set up dictate how long it will take to retune.

I strive for perfection and perfection takes time.

I can promise you this you will get what you pay for +

Ted.
