NEW CAMARO

I am in the process of building my new camaro and working with a dealer...Im interested in having a little more power than normal and Im thinking of having the GM supercharger and performance exhause installed (NEED TO KEEP MY WARRANTY) on a 2011 2SS V8 camaro that pushes stock 400hp. Does anyone know what I'll have once I add the two performance additions. Thanks

skip the exhaust setup if you want power, plus theres better aftermarket systems. Most guys are picking up power through the exhaust buy getting higher flowing cats or headers. As for the supercharger, The magnuson will put you around 470whp (around 540hp at the engine) on a ls3 with eveything else stock. The automatics will see 20-30hp less then that. I have a hard time believing gm will keep your warranty when you add a supercharger though. If anything breaks that can be blamed on the supercharger, they will. You can get a 3 year powertrain warranty through magnuson for extra cost... but also theres alot of fine print on stuff that will void that also.

The supercharger system GM sells for LS engines with LS3 heads is not a full kit, and will not maintain your powertrain warranty. Keep an eye on that...

thanks....so if GM does not honor the warranty on the supercharger, what are my options. I really want more than the 400 but spending 40k and not having a warranty is not am option. Any ideas?

Supposely anything u add has potential to void your warranty. If warranty is a must then i would'nt mod the car. I figure you buy a car like this to have fun with, so i said screw the warranty. Some highflow cats and a good cai will get your around 25-30 more at the wheels. Intake you can pull off and on in 20 minutes and the cats is past the engine, so cant see how they could blame you on that one. adm has a stealthy stage 1 cam that sounds stock. Only way they would know is if they pulled it out and looked at it. It will and another 20whp. Thats around a extra 50 right there. Guess it depends on what your goals are and how much power you are thinking.

Also everyone starts off by saying they want to keep warranty....... until the mod bug hits. In a few months you will be looking for a supercharger and other goodies. This site is a drug

A few manufacturers of supercharger kits offer extra-cost powertrain warranties. I know Magnuson offers one, and Edelbrock (off the top of my head).

Look into that if a warranty is important to you.

You might try an aftermarket company like SLP, Hennessy etc. They offer their own warranty for 3/36

... How would that give "extra performance"? If anything, it's going to reduce some heat and reduce wear, but you're not going to get "performance" from that.
