Yes... there is licencing and his goal was 205-220... the car bumped off the rev limiter twice... they are going to get that sorted. The wind has picked way up so he is done for today.

Good luck to you, Robert. I think you are doing really well with the car. Be safe.

Lil update...

We didn't bounce it off the rev limiter as I had earlier thought...

We looked at logs and figured out what happened...

With Pro EFI, after the car is started, it takes 60 seconds for the O2 sensors to heat up and send data needed... When I did my burnout and came off the gas, coming back to idle, it died... As I was rolling up to the start line... So I restarted the car and staged... The guy flagged me off about twenty five or thirty seconds after starting the car, and if referenced the o2 sensors...

Which weren't providing data, the boost shot up to 27 lbs and then it pulled it back suddenly, so the car nosed over hard... I actually short shifted not knowing that's what happened, and then a few seconds later it did it again in fourth... I never saw the shift light, so in conversation, and looking at the log, we figured this out, and it was verified by ProEFI...

Having said all that, we now know that if the car dies near the start line, we fire it up, and let it idle for 60 seconds prior to launching... The starter can just wait a few...

We went 203.4 and I still need the license run for unlimited, but have a feeling it will happen in the am, and then we will make an afternoon pass, weather providing and that will be with the bottles...

On a side note, the guy in the convertible went 215.1 this afternoon... Kudos to him.. Great run...

Nice job. Keep chipping away at it. Doesn't happen all at once. I chased a 9 second slip for 2 years!

How the car feel at 200+ mph? Do you even know you're going that fast with no surroundings?

Thanks Brother... I hear you loud and clear... While I have a goal, I'm also being patient and we are trying not to hurt anything on the car... She hasn't so much a burped yet... The little glitch with the boost cut was what it is, and didn't hurt anything but my speed... We have turned the boost up again, to 24 lbs... And will run with that, then see how it looks and turn the bottles on..
