I didn't know you had to be "rich" to own a camaro!?

I cant tell you how many times I've been asked what my monthly payment is on my car to me that's over the line and something that is no ones business but mine.

Being only 22 I get this A LOT since I bought my 2SS a month ago. I simply explain that this is what I've been wanting for years upon years upon years. I have a full time job and have my own business as well so I was able to afford a huge down payment plus finance the remaining. It didn't hurt that I got a phenomenal deal as well.

Let alone I still live with my parents, who my Dad is a huge Camaro fan as well so he hasn't helped me in paying the Camaro but has helped me in giving me a place to live for decent rent and I help them pay bills too so I'm not living there for free either lol.

I've worked my butt off and sacrificed many many things to get my Camaro and where I'm at today. To anyone who is not as dedicated or in love with this car as I am will not see it as worth while to do something like this thus just assume I'm rich or "my parents paid for it"

Not to ding ya man, but why would anyone want to have a cool car but still live at home after they graduate high school? Yack! I'm not that old (29) and I still don't get what's up with the new generation and also my generation that seems to like to stay in the nest until they're 30.

There's this woman that makes comments all the time about asking y dad to pay off her house and all this, the "must be nices" and the "people like you can afford those things but not people like me". I wish she knew that my dads never given me a dime.
That I put myself through college and bought everything I've got without help...

Sometimes Have to work for every penny plus to a higher standard than most.

Some people have good enough relationships with their parents that moving out isn't as big of a deal. Especially in this economy. I'm glad I waited to move out or else I would be upside down in a house now. Instead I waited and now I have positive equity in my current house (only been here 2 years). Went so far as to have my girlfriend come live with my parents and I for a few years -- and that was after only being together for 6 months. Surprisingly, her parents were also OK with it. We had a sweet setup though - my dad and I finished the basement and we had a full blown apartment down there - kitchen w/ food pantry, great room, eating area, bedroom, walk-in closet, and an on-suite bathroom that was nicer than the upstairs master bath.

If I was rich I wouldn't buy high end cars, I'd buy more Camaros at one time in several different colors just to have a garage full of beauty.
