Defective tire???

Tires have only been driven on once. They are Phoenix front runners (bias ply). What would cause this pimple (pot hole the one time I drove???) looking thing and why do they look like they are dry rotting when they are kept inside? Are they safe to drive on??? Would only be used at the track.

Looks like there's stress and a crease on the sidewall and that bump doesn't look good at all. There's internal damage looks like...

I also don't think that's safe to drive on.

Are those drag skinnies? I certainly would be terrified to drive on them.

Notice the difference in the surface of the side wall between the first pic and the second one. Very telling...

Yeah I know. I just don't understand why they did that. It's very odd. My gut told me to go with Mickeys but dumb me didn't. 🤬

The great thing is that you caught this before it became a more serious issue. Now all you have to do is replace em.

Yeah I was going to use them at the track tomorrow. I'm glad I looked them over. Could've resulted in a blow out and a totaled car...
