Tsp F-35 cam

Anyone have any experience with this stage 4 cam? Looking at doing the F-35 with prc 260 heads on a max effort sbe ls3. Already have supporting mods such as stage 3 throttle body from no white,GPI rod mod intake, longtubes and exhaust. Tuner wants to put in thinner head gaskets to bump the compression up a bit.

There have been a few guys on here that used that cam with good results. You are a 1LE so should be a stick car and it should work OK.

These larger cams always make good top end power, the real trick is getting a really good tuner to make them drive OK if it is a street car.

Be careful when messing with head gaskets and a cam with that duration, you might have less than minimal PTV clearance.

I'd personally run their stage 3 and get the heads ported while you have them off.

I have one in my 2010 M6 car and it pulls really hard and can be tame enough for daily driving on the street. You will get 11-12 MPG tho.

^^^ this. I run their Stage 3 cam with a 3600 stall and love it !! Badass and docile when it needs to be. Daily driven street car with 15k on the cam swap. Stock heads but all the other supporting mods.

I have a hard time keeping my foot out of the gas in this car. It's too fun to be driving it like a grandma. Also, not a daily driver but could be.

I ran the same set up for a year or better. I ran stock gaskets because the PRC heads have a smaller 65cc chamber for more compression. The 13* valve angle helps with piston to valve but didn't know by how much so I played it safe. I made great power but the stock intake manifold becomes a restriction at this point so I'd go mid runner FAST or if you are on the hardcore side run a high ram.

I will be at 68 cc which I think is stock as I want to use these heads on another block when I plan to supercharge. Also I have a porter rod mod gpi intake which on a stock heads and can only made a pretty noticeable difference in power.

Yes......do that.

.040" gaskets for ideal quench.

You wont gain much with just a little more compression I am at 11 to 1 and its gain is not much......a few HP versus safety especially if valve float is usually not worth it to most...IMO As who knows what other upgrades your doing......
