Ever heard 7900 rpm LS3 on a dyno?

**clutch is slipping at 7000***

Heres the dyno video. Description says it all. 568rwhp@ 7250. Dyno could not pick up the rpm signal so the dyno did stop early, even if the car actually went to 7900. Ill be back next sunday with hopefully 580+rwhp. https://youtu.be/-bYzmGNH3NM

Very nice! Looks like a great combo you put together, nice flat curve from 5-8k.

So what mechanical limitation did you have to overcome to rev that high? My Whipple is still climbing hard at 7,000 but I'm not ready to rev it more than that.

A stout Solid roller will overcome everything ! Lol...
-Isky linked solid red zone lifters
-1209x PAC with ti retainers
-T&D adj rockers
-short runner manifold that will support this rpm
-good heads (ls3 are good for that but ptv sucks)
-a big cam
-biggest pushrod youcan fit. 3/8 here

I'm not far off of that, I may need to do some research. Right now I smack into the rev limiter too easily.

Uhmm...up the limiter?! What springs you run? My valvetrain components are made for higher rpm. You have good stuff too but its not the same purpose.

So I just double checked and AFR lists the PAC springs as being rated to 7200 rpm. I'll have to make sure to upgrade when it's time to swap them out.
