interesting... I have a theory but I am only guessing. Maybe my car (and others with a stock tune), run pig rich from the factory causing higher fuel consumption but maybe safer on the tune. I can tell no difference in engine manners liking knocking and pinging running 87 pump if it's cold or hot outside (I live in texas and its 92 right now). So my guess is, that maybe I could benefit from a tune to run a little leaner and maybe more efficient.

BTW... saw the Blue TA on your other post. That is a beautiful car. Thanks for sharing. And it made me miss my pewter 01 WS6.

Yuo're Welcome on the pics, as I find more I'll post up more of the other cars.

I agree, mine is on the edge of everything. The throttle is terribly touchy, but it is impressive because as touchy as it is it also responds NOW and is super crisp.
I noticed on regular the engine is noisy, doesn't knock or ping just noisy. On 89 same thing but a little less. 93 no noise at all completely quiet as a mouse. PLUS since setting the toe looks like its up to 28.5-29 mpg. As much as I hate to do it I may buy the hypertech tuner save this tune if it lets me and load their boxed tune. I just don't know what to do. Thing is we drove it almost 7k without any hint of trouble or burning oil other than the timing being pulled constantly. I have a hunch this car was tuned for mileage maybe on a dyno? Who knows and i'll bet there are tuners out there that may have tuned this remotely etc. If its stock then I have a big problem with something.

There is a member that is willing to look at things if we can get together but hes way down the line in a congested area I really can't be in because of health problems. He may get up my way to visit relatives but I really feel funny about sucking up his time when he gets up here.

More pics, for some reason the 77 LT Camaro doesn't show.

Dang 152LT - I love the pics. Thanks for sharing. I take back the troll comments... you have proof. And you are representing almost all generations and trim packages with your collection... a true f-body fan.

Here is a pic I found of me in grad school with my 01 WS6 that I bought brand new.

Take care,
Jeff

Here is a pic of my '00 WS6 Quad Snout Trans Am from back in the day. Of course, it's a 6 speed red convertible!

She was a mean rascal for the time. Sold her in '03 for a 'Vette, but I swear she was faster in every way.

That is awesome dude! I love how you stuck with the red convertible with your 5th gen too. BTW... your 5th gen build has me researching prochargers now!

Yep, the Camaro is a dream build for me and is the most powerful car I've ever owned, or driven. Big fan of the progressive hp of centri setup, but all the parts have to work together to get the most out of it.

OP, apologies for hijacking your thread. It turned into a drive down memory lane and I couldn't resist!

Nice cars you all posted up, I found a few more random pictures including the race Scout and one of the 77-78 TA's< I loved these cars. I won that race and it cost me a engine. Still have the 3 dollar trophy, hard lesson learned there let me tell ya. not sure where any more pictures would be, we moved a few times over the years and like all non digital things they get lost. I did find a old pic of the 68 Camaro but its just the fender with me walking by and my wife holding the baby back in like 72. found a pic if one of the GTA trans ams too.

I miss that TA so bad there are no words how strange I feel about it. I guess it a old age thing. We drove that car all over the country. I feel like we are a man down as silly as that sounds. I think I'm going to take up drinking soon.

Very nice J Rod. We should probably start a new thread called memory lane on this one. I bet there are hundreds of stories like us!
