The seats do go up and down...no lumbar adjustment.
Yes, they're comfortable..a bit more firm than the SS seats, but they will hold you in much better around turns. If you are larger, they may be too tight, but otherwise they are nice seats for a DD.

Are you asking about the Recaros for the 5th gen or the 6th gen? If for 5th you might want to ask in the ZL1 or 1LE section on camaro5.

I LOVE the 6G Camaro Recaros. They are right under the GT350 Recaros in my ranking. Definitely tight for large framed people. If you are an athletic build or slim build, they will be plenty comfortable as daily use. Mybe just me, but I was MORE comfortable with the Recaros over my base 1SS seats on a 6-hour straight drive...

Yes I love them. BUT the lack of lumbar is a big issue. I was able to insert an inexpensive air bladder with manual pump ball inside the seat. Works perfectly, problem solved. Also just as with the stock seats they don't recline very far. The shoulder support is perfect like a race seat.

Gotta agree. The Camaro seats in general have poor lumbar support. This is surprising given that most newer cars have better lumbar support. I normally keep other cars adjusted to minimum support, which is still more than the Camaro has.

My power Recaros only seem to recline so far and that's it, won't lay all the back if that matters to you.

I"m 5'8 140lb, and they seem to fit like a glove.
If you are bigger, I think they'd probably break in over time and give a little, but you may be more uncomfortable at first. The bolstering on the right side is right where your right elbow is when shifting--that takes some getting used to. I feel like they have good lumbar support. I've done long drives in them and had no back pain whatsoever. At first when you are getting used to them, you might think they are going to be uncomfortable, but then miraculously, you do a long drive in them and get out feeling really good, no pain at all. I do wish they reclined more. There is a DIY mod for that though. |

I haven’t driven a 6th gen with standard seats but I love my Recaros in my ‘18 1LE. I’m 5’8, 175 and they are a perfect fit. My fiancé approved of the seats too after a 3 1/2 hour ride.
I see you have experience with the 5th gen so for comparison sake, I came from two 5th gen cars (12 1SS & 14 1SS) and the ‘14 had Recaros. The new generation seats feel a bit more comfortable than those seats. Standard seating in the 12 SS was more comfortable than the 5th gen Recaros though. FWIW, I never regretted getting the Recaros in that car. I wouldn’t let seating deter you from getting a 1LE. It really is an amazing package.

Fifth Gen Recaros thumbs down. CA6 Reacaros, great if they fit you. Try them out first with a ten minute drive if the dealer will let you.
