Yep, it will smoke them easy. I'm showing the cords in the tires from doing that so much

That worked great for me..lots of smoke You just have to experiment a bit to get a feel feel for how much brake is needed.

I have tried that but my RPM's cut out at only 2K, so I am not able to give it enough throttle to do it...WTF is wrong with my car?

When I have tried, it has been over 100deg. ambient temp...is that the problem?

It was easier to do a burn out in the rental camaro a6 I had in phoenix than with my manual 1ss. Follow the above steps. One thing I would ad is leave the car in drive that way when you floor it as the tires are spinning the camaro will shift for you. Pirellis bite harder when warm. Try it after the asphault cools down a little. Or if your in Texas right now wait for November.

You sir, need to invest in a 3" roll of painter's tape before your next trip to the track! I'd hat to see you mess up that beautiful car.

Thanks Gretchen.

You mean like this. This photo was taken the next time I went to the track 11/20/2010 when I ran my 13.783 @ 103.40.

Ah...sweet. Thanx. That's what I was thinking, but wasn't sure.

I gave it a shot the other day, with no luck. I'm running RS wheels and it was +90 out. Plus my tires are brand new P-Zeros. Maybe I'll try again in the fall!

Its a PITA for me. I have the steel rims with passenger car tires on them. I spin them quite often, without wanting to. These things simply will not hook! Keep in mind, this is with the traction control ON. With it off, just a brisk clutch release at 2-3k will send them spinning without the car really accelerating. Impressive looking, but it really hurts the 0-60 time without being able to launch.

I want my 305's!

Why do some of the V6's in the pic have dual patches and when I did it I only had 1??

The automatic have what is known as an open differential. If you look this up on the internet you can find the technical explanation.

Layman’s terms, if both sides get equal traction they will both spin.
