3.2 pulley

You guys think I should be making more hp with a 3.2 pulley. Its making 10 pounds of boost but slipping a little. Im going to get a heavy duty tensioner installed soon.

Slipping isn't good. It will shred the belt which is never fun being stuck somewhere. Fix the slip or swap the bigger pulley on until you get it fixed.

Yeah, upgrade the tensioner and intall the smallest Gatorback belt that you can pry on there. Stick the belt in the oven on warm for 30 minutes before the install. Don't tell the wife you're doing that. Trust me on that one

Ovens are also good for baking flywheels before installing.

I like the gates green over the gatorbacks but the GY belts are nice.

Im making 10-11 on a 3.25 out of my YSi. No belt slip though. If its slipping, youre losing boost

I looked into the Gates belts, but the sizes that I needed to try weren't available. Much better selection near the sizes I needed with the Gatorbacks. I like the way the cuts are made in the ribs of the that belt also. Kinda the reverse of cutting grooves in the pulleys. The G'back belts are supposed to stretch less too.

O/P, you can also hang a weight on the belt to take out the folds from packaging. It's tough to get the smallest belt possible installed when you're fighting all of the creases/folds.

Getting the correct size is better than brand. I have to run a gates because they make a 54.5 10 rib, gator back is 54 which won't fit or 55.5 which is way too long.

Yes I do as soon as we get the belt to stop slipping we should see 640 RWHP.

The JRE supertensioner will get it done.
