LED tailights

I have seen a few cars on here that have the LED tailights. I would like to order some. Can someone tell me who the vendor is? I have not posted pics of my car yet because I have been hooked up at work and have not had the time to take pics. I have added some mods and when I get what I want done I will take the time to take some and post them.

I have LED tailights on my rock crawler jeep and they do not need to be turned off when parked and it sits for months at a time. If that is the case and they have to be turned off I do not need them on my car. Thanks for the heads up.

I got the same taillights but got them from these guys: http://www.apex-speed.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=30268. They are really cool and they weren't directly hooked up to the battery so they don't drain it. I get lots of good comments about them.

As I have read, the culprit for draining the battery is the pink wire that goes directly to the Positive of the battery. That wire is for the "show mode" when at a gathering or showing your friens. Drop that wire and you will not have a battery drain as described.

I had a Gen 1 set in my SS that were garbage....I have a Gen 2 set in my ZL1 now and they are great. I only had one issue with the driver outer having moisture in it, resealed and no more issue, the quaity is so much better the second time around. I forgot where I got mine MobFaab or something like that...I can't remember as I am overseas right now. Also the car sits any where from one to two weeks before starting, no issues so far with battery drain.

The pink wire is to power the lights and needs to be connected to +12v in order for them to function. It can be hooked up to a wire that is has +12v only when the ignition is on. That will eliminate the battery drain. The purple wire is for show mode. Ground it to activate it.

If you don't hook up the pink wire, the lights will not work. The purple wire is optional.

Not at all

All you have to do is wire the pink wire slightly differently to how they tell you in the instructions and they are no problem whatsoever.

And even if you don't they only cause a problem to cars not started at all for a few weeks.

The hardest part for me was getting my gorilla hands in that little tight space and undo the screws. If you have small hands its a piece of cake. I ended up with bloody knuckles but it was well worth the trouble. They look great!
