I beleive GM customer service .....NOT, I've been told bad info from them pleanty of times. I would wait to see if Fbodfather says its correct, for now put me in the BS camp.

Only the IO interior gets the Orange ABL lighting none IO interior gets blue because you will not have the Orange Acrylic with the black, beige or gray and those three colors get blue lighting NO MATTER if your exterior is IOM or not!Thank you no back to your regularly scheduled programming!

...and you're so certain about this because you've gotten confirmation from a reliable source or you just don't believe the speculation?

I am certain about this because it has been discussed on this forum many many times the only interior package that will get differing ABl is the IO interior because the blue would clash. That is why the gauges and ABl light up different with the IO. This speculation is just that someone misinforming the OP

then explain why this was heard from more than one dealer in two different parts of the country. I am not saying it is true but you confirming it is not true is almost as speculative.

This is the first I have heard of the Orange lighting on the orange EXTERIOR cars. I thought the color of the interior determined the ABL. I talked to a designer GM and nothing from the camaro) the other day and he made a comment about all SS's getting the orange ABL. I didn't think that was accurate.

Because most dealers are less informed than most Camaro5 members

It says in the literature that it comes with IOM interiors.

When I ordered I spoke with the GSM about the interior and ask him if I could get 2SS/IOM with black leather and orange ABL. He called someone while I was there, don't know who and then then he told me no. Said only the IO interior comes whit orange ABL. I just called and spoke with him and he still says the same thing. I know that a lot of dealers don't know a lot but I have to admit this GSM has done his homework on this car and has been great. When the price increase came out he called me and told me if I hear about it don't worry because I am price protected. Thought that rocked.

to ArcAngle my 2lt rs iom in & out has orange ABL on doors but dash gauges have blue ABL rings, dealer & factory said only 2ss comes that way need some proof they worng do you have any

I have the IOM interior package and it looks great - orange ambient lighting is correct. However, I will have to say it looks a whole lot more like soft red lighting that really orange. But I still love it! Gives it an extra little kick.

They are CORRECT, only the 2SS's dash lighting is orange. I have a2LT IOM with the IO Interior, thedash lights are BLUE, and that is the way are supposed to be, its not a mistake, but I wish they WERE orange.
