So, I want your opinion on this matter. I want to get a Seibon carbon fiber hood (the TS style http://www.seiboncarbon.com//product...D1011CHCAM-TS/)put on my white SS. Now, I saw some pictures of a white camaro with carbon fiber hood left unpainted and I liked the look it. This would also save some money since no painting is needed.
Do you guys like the look of a white camaro with a black carbon fiber hood? Check out this link to see a picture of one. http://www.wraptivo.com/blog/wp-cont...2/IMG_8975.jpg Remember my roof and trunk WON'T be painted black like the one in the picture. However, I do have powdercoated gloss black wheels, I think it may set it off nicely, but not sure. Here's a few recent pics of my car I just took. Here it is in the parking structure. Unfortunately it's crappy lighting, but you can at least get a feel for what it would look like. Last edited by TCAT; 06-09-2011 at 07:46 PM. |

Thanks! I'll definitely be sure to do that. I was of only leaving two stripes of carbon fiber (like rally stripes clearcoated) and paint the rest of the hood around it white. That way I'll have carbon fiber rally stripes. Ahhhh yeahhhhh. I haven't seen any Summit white camaro like that yet. I'm looking to make batman jealous of my car, and wish he would have picked white, lol. JK

hahaha. either way would work really. up to you. if it were me personally, i'd do the carbon fiber rally stripes and paint the rest of it, but i have ABM. on white, i don't know. too hard to decide.

What you explained is exactly what I want to do. I must have just explained it incorrectly . THe whole hood will be White, but the rally stripes will be in carbon fiber still. Or, I want the entire hood white, with JUST the little strips that follow the cowl hood left in carbon fiber. That would look sweet.

if anything i'd do the rally's, but it's your car!
i'm saving up my money for the sinister hood. i was gonna just get the fiberglass one, but after talking to the gentleman from partsforyourcar.com at C5 Fest, i'll be saving up the extra money for the carbon fiber

Good call. I've been told not to go the fiberglass route on hoods as well, and I've been advised to pony up the dough for a carbon one. My choices are in this order:
1.) Toss up between Seibon TS & IVS AMS hood 2.) MPD1 Cowl hood 3.) Unrestricted Motorsports Comp Series hood |
