Need a bit of help folks - P0716 code
Coming up to 6 years i've owned her now......
I have searched around and found one thread, not quite helped though. Anyway - little over 36k miles and has had the mods you see in sig. The very occasional 'spirited' driving, never seen a track. - i am getting close to 50! (going on 21) Other day sitting at lights and it lurched a little. engine light on and seemed to be stuck - i guess in 3rd gear from the info i have read. the 'D' and 'S' were flashing. Made it home no real problem. The odd thing was, the compass was 180 degs out! heading south and it showed north -- weird coincidence? I have had the BM tranny cooler from day one - it was a little above normal when I got back - a shade over 180. From what i gather it is the input speed sensor - i can't find much out there, or even where to get one from - if that is the problem I have cleared the code and driven a few miles, has not returned. Any advice much appreciated.... Cheers

I would say if the code comes back try to find out what resistance should be at the sensor and break out the multi tester to see what you got. May just need a sensor.

Will do that -- i looked up the sensor, found one on Amazon - its actually 2 sensors on same harness - input and output, only $25.
I just bought a code reader and will have that in the car in case it happens again at least I can get my transmission back and just replace the sensors

Any updates? Just threw codes p0700 and p0716 last night. Trans was already starting to slip so now time to take it in
