Or greatest expense that never lived up to its purpose....since the program was scrapped in favor of the F-35.

It's based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, a Camaro would fall into esteem, you bought the car because of the way it made you feel.

What the politicians do has nothing to do with how good it is. They balk at the price of the F-22, and then throw Billions away on "Stimulus". Hellooo Mcfly! The people who build the F-22 have what are called "jobs" too.

Lets admit it, this car has a strong appeal to women, so who is man enough to admit that the fact that girls love this car was at least SOMEWHAT factored into the purchasing equation?

Me personally it was a small part but I have to admit that small part of me did get it so women would want to ride in my car, my last car wasn't exactly girl friendly. Then again no car with open headers generally is =o

Quotes from Chapelle
I'm guessing/certain this is an age thing. I believe there is a large portion of members here who are already in a serious relationship... so therefore I doubt any of the "chic magnet" factor was played.

On the other hand, I could see being 16 (and single) and loving the attention this Camaro brings. It may have been something that made my grin a lit'l wider at that age, but it still would have been because it was a F-body first!

As it stands, I appreciate the comments, but would enjoy my Camaro just as much if there were no one around! (some days I wish...)

Well, when one jet can do everything another jet can do -- and more -- they really don't need the other jet. In this case, the one they don't need is the F-22.

If that's the case why is it that there is an export ban on the F-22, but not on the f-35? I read even china might get some.

What's that got to do with anything? The F-35 can still do all the missions for which the F-22 was specialized, without the need for two different planes.

You should add "best for their time." Flying a P-51 into combat now would quickly end in death. But yes, back in WWII, it was definitely THE plane to fly. (Not counting the B-17, that is.)

I haven't received any more numbers with hearts. Solved that I STAY out of mall parking lots. This morning I was drivin around running some errands for my employer and I did have a guy tell me NICE CAR! He only was wearing a speedo also jogging around campus! He definately wasn't my type but it was funny as hell

That works both ways except guys who date girls with hot cars are usually DBs.

I never let them drive. Hmm, maybe that's why they were DBs ...
