Amp in gm mtx subs not working

I have the GM MTX 10" subs in the sealed enclosure. The sub works when it wants to, and I'm tired of it. I want to get a ******** connector and put an amp in wired to the subs.
I pulled the subs out and stamped on the back is .7ohms 100watts.

What are some amp specs that I need for these subs. The lowest impedance that I can find is 1ohm, and with these in parallel they will only be .35ohms.

What should I look for.

Thanks

Never have I heard of a sub running at .7 ohms! thats ridiculous! I dont know of any amp that will handle that for long periods of time. This is why I never go factory for sound upgrades.

Wouldn't that part be under warranty?

Yes it is under warranty, well it was. I hate to deal with taking it to the dealer for a half assed fix and have it happen again...

I took the wiring harness out of the car. Then took the subs out of the box and pulled the amp and all wiring from the box. I connected the subs in series which should give me approximately 1.4 ohms. I got the speakers back in with the box sealed back up and the speaker wires coming from it. I have ordered the ******** adaptor which I hope comes soon, and I got an amp that is 1 ohm stable. I will have it all hooked back up the way I want it once the adaptor comes in. I'm hoping it sounds as good as I'm thinking it will. I'll report back once I get it going.
