Seeking to get Blown
Car is '11 2SS M6
Car currently has Solo HFC & Mach 3" catback and CAI intake. TSP 2" LTs are on the way. Hotchkis Springs wrap up "performance" mods. I'd like to achieve at least 585/590+/- WHP with a solid torque curve. But my baseline goal is to put down AT LEAST 550RWHP. I'm not concerned with going centri route and dumping my intake etc, I just want my goal numbers with the' most reliable platform out. Also as it may sound lame, I do want that SC whine. I don't wanna put badges all over my car or HP claims, I just want that loud whistle/whine letting bystanders know it's very not stock. I've found great deals on ESC and TVS kits, but with the new TVS kits and a lack of the cog gears I'm worried I will not be able to achieve my blower sound goal And Centri aside from the YSi? Are typically quiet or am I wrong? Thanks for any help you can provide on which system would best suite my wants! Last edited by Qui3tStorm; 05-16-2013 at 07:13 AM. |

Depends on the centri. Straight cut ones like Ysi and D1SC without helical option whine.
Just do turbos. Make 700+ and a crazy torque curve.

Maggie is a fine blower. It is pretty quiet. Cog drive will DEFIANTLY take care of that. I would think you would have no problem achieving your power goal.

Wouldn't the Ysi be a bit overkill for my end goals? And I'm no interested in turbo route at all from previous experiences. My understanding is that the new TVS blowers changed in design and no longer can run the cog drive, is this true for only the SLP? Is the Maggie unchanged still? |

Maggie just needs different fuel rails to put a cog drive on.

Maggie just needs the passenger side rail shaved about 3mm at the rear where the Cog belt is.
I have the SLP Maggie TVS2300 with OD Cog Drive pulleys, added the Innovators West 8 rib pulley set to handle 700+HP.....You'll get plenty of whine with that set up, my car can be heard from 2 blocks away easy I've been told. |
