Just thought I'd let you know to watch out. I only heard one announcement earlier.

Cell, texting news: As of Oct. 1, law officers in Nevada may stop and warn motorists who are texting or using handheld cell phones. The ticketing starts Jan. 1, 2012. Fines will be $50, then $100 and then $250.
Nevada banned handheld cell phone use and text messaging for all drivers. Enforcement is primary, meaning drivers can be stopped and cited for that reason alone. Nevada was the 34th state to ban texting while driving.

Yep, I am aware. I actually traded in my 2010 1SS for a 2011 2SS/RS and part of the reason was for the blue tooth! Needs to happen though. Driving here is dangerous enough!

Another thing included in that new law is the iPod, and all other handheld "gadgets". They said iPods must either be mounted on dash or in a case. Same was for other handheld gadgets, like Blackberrys & gps devices.

Here in cali the fines are way higher than that and I still see many people driving while talking on cellphones or texting and driving.
