I think " Chevy Pilot"got it right. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it gets much worse.

If its a bearing there will be metallic particals and bits of metal. I don't like where your oil pressure is , IT should be higher,or is that where it has always been.
I sent this video also to the engine specialists and they say that "No rod knocking present that I could hear, just normal for LS engine valvetrain noises".

This knock is toooo quit that my phone can't catch it. I am going to lift my car next week and I will record one more video.

I cut my filter (ACDELCO UPF48R) and found no metal signs.

Oil pressure is 26 psi at idle until it reaches 245-250F. Maybe I need to install additional oil cooler ?
I changed oil 3 days ago and put inside one bottle of Rislone High-Mileage Engine Treatment (that could help to reduce friction and clean). Video was made with the new oil.

Since you didn't have any metal in the oil and filter, I would say your good to go!

Amsoil Signature Series 5w30
or
Ravenol DXG 5w30 (german oil)

I watched many analyzes of used oil and these two turned out to be excellent results in alkali number and ester additives, as well as a minimum loss in viscosity.

New Melling oil pump with standart pressure / volume.

112 K Mileage

Idle at 230F 15 psi (before was 25 psi), outside temp 89 - 104F. I live in Phoenix now.
Idle cold 50 psi (was 50 psi)
Driving at 230F 30-35 psi

I am going to replace my standard oil pump with MELLING M365HV (20% Additional Volume Over Stock Oil Pump).

-Is it mandatory to replace oil pickup tube for larger size ? Can stock pickup tube provide necessary oil flow for this pump ?

I'm not even aware of a different pickup tube. The inlet on the Melling stock, hi-volume and hi-pressure are all the same.

[QUOTE=chevy pilot;11336931]Sounds normal L99 ticking to me. [/QUOTe.

It's not normal if you change the oil Frequently. My early 10 L99
has never made a lifter noise after 14 years and 72,000 miles. I've
just had my 20th oil change which I believe is the answer.

No, stock pickup tube is fine. But definitely make sure the pickup tube o-ring is replaced when this is done. Damage to the o-ring is one of the biggest contributors to low oil pressure issues on an LS engine.

Your hot idle pressure does seem low. Also, your oil temps do seem a bit high - but oil pressure temps on our cars are calculated, if I remember correctly.

I went with the 10355HV and am very happy with the results. It creates 36 psi at 200* water temp, 225* oil temp and around 70 psi at wot with the standard spring. The high pressure spring will get you close to 90 psi at wot.

I did do the factory oil cooler delete and added the mishimoto oil cooler as well. It didn't do a whole lot more cooling for the oil temps but did drop my water temps by 10* and got rid of that leaking factory cooler.
