did I smoke the plastic slave bearing?

First the pertinent information, 2010 M6 cam bolt on car, very low miles. After a 20mi car cruise on a 90 degree that we do every year, its pretty low speed but full of revs and burnouts. On my way home my clutch pedal starting to feel odd, like no feedback or resistance. A few clutch depressions later the pedal would just go to the floor and not come back up. I was able to limp it home by pulling the pedal up with my foot. I installed a separate reservoir for the clutch years ago, the fluid was very clean but the fluid was being displaced and overflowing the reservoir slightly. I am thinking I melted of the stock plastic slave support bearing. Does this fit the symptoms? Is there any chance it was something else, like something that doesn't require pulling the trans?? How can I be sure before I pull the trans? I appreciate any info you could throw at me.

Sounds about right from what I know. Here's an example of a good replacement.
