Sports Cars Should Not Have Pimples On Their Rears!

I sympathize with those people who have rear parking troubles. The side view mirrors and wide shoulders of these Camaros like the Corvettes, makes it hard to judge the clearance you have before bumping into something or scrap the rims against the curb. I could understand why many people would prefer them on their Camaros. With practice and vigilance on your surroundings, my guess is, you’ll do find without them. I’m glad I don’t have them in my 2010 2LT M6 Camaro.

I'm not crazy about the way they look but the idea of what they do isn't bad. Personally I'd rather have them underneath the front fascia so I could tell how close I'm getting to curb stops or planter curbing while pulling into a parking place.

Glad I don't have those on the back of mine, glad I DO have the chiclets on the sides. Glad I ordered mine when I did...what a beautiful car to own and drive!!!

Correct, Jerseyrican.
They knew the sensors were comming, I bet there are pigtails there somewhere...

Few years back I was parallel parking my '96 Eclipse, I stopped for a sec before reversing into the spot as soon as I was about to hit the gas my neighbor's daughter's ball rolled behind my car and she ran and stopped behind me, so glad I checked my rear view mirror before starting to backup. After that happened I started looking for backup sensors for my car.

Are the back up sensors the item that will designate between the 2010 and 2010.5 Camaros? That's what happened when the G8's received the Blue Tooth Upgrade. So any car that comes with the back up sensors is hereby called a 2010.5!

uhhhh, 2010.5? haha i guess, if thats what you want to call them, however since its not even 2010 yet i cannot justify the point five in my mind. but oh well.

Thanks, Justin...but I could've sworn that as early as January of this year, GM was talking about adding this feature--and the HUD--in the December timeframe. I would think the wiring would already be set up to accept the mod. Oh well...it's definitely not a show stopper for me...just a nice-to-have!

Cheers (too bad Biff's got rained out tonite, eh?)... :(

i don't think they're too bad. i'd rather them not be on mine when i get it, but it's not that huge of a deal to me. they could've looked worse like some of the examples in this thread so far. it's not too big of a deal to me and definitely won't be a deal breaker. besides, i'll be inside the car driving it, so i won't even see them

anyways, i did a photoshop (probably not that good..i'm sure someone else could probably do better) using someone from the SIM thread's picture and those pics of the sensors.
