I don't like anything about MyLink. Mine has a mind of it's own. For NAV, I use my iPhone.

I have the Nav on my 2014; I’ve tried it a few times and it is ok but mostly prefer to use Google maps on my phone as it always has the most up to date maps plus has traffic updates integrated into the routes.

If you use the USB port in the center console, Does that show up on the radio display or just on your phone?

I may not understand your problem totally, but if you have a smart phone you can put Nav maps on the car screen. For example, if you have an android phone, you can load Android Auto on you phone, then hook up the phone on your car with a USB connection and it works. Free. If you have an I-phone, I think you can probably do the same; search the internet for how to set it up.

My 2014 did not have navigation when purchased. I found a sweet deal here on this Forum for a used but very nice face plate. From Gen5 DIY I purchased a head unit that they set up with the latest maps. This was now about 2 years ago and I have hand no problems what so ever. Navigation has performed well on several long trips.

This might work on the Gen 6 (2016+) Camaro but does not on the Gen 5.

If your screen shows My Link, you should be able to get this to work with a USB connection on the car and the other side of the cable to the phone. You need to load the Android Auto app on your phone first.

Android Auto is only supported on 2016 and later Camaros (Gen 6). Here on the Gen 5 forum, most of us have 2010-2015 (Gen 5) Camaros.

You are right, only 2016 and later. Too bad, I just plugged an I-Phone into my 2016 Malibu and the maps popped right up.
