Advice on potential purchase of 1LE....
I am currently looking at a 15 1SS 1LE with Recaros/NPP. The car has is a bolt on/cam car with a little over 15,000 miles.
The car was in an accident but has a clean title. It was only minor damage requiring some panel replacement upfront and was done at a certified chevrolet dealership. I am not sure how to adequately understand what kind of price range this car should be in. I think I have a good feeling in the price I am looking at but I am concerned about the potential resale value even though the title is clear. I am hoping to just get some general numbers of what others think a good ballpark would be. Jared |

I would say $22,000-$26,000 but that's my opinion. I purchased my 2015 2SS/RS 1LE W/NPP, Moon roof but no recaros. Car had 4250 miles on the clock and $10,000 in performance add-ons bought it for $29,000. Did not want a moon roof but couldn't turn the car down.

First that car will be worthless in the winter weather in PA without a doubt . That said there will be no warrantee . I would also check if it can pass PA emissions B4 you buy it. If the cam swap was done properly with a DD cam that's a big plus. If not it will be expensive and a pain to repair. When buying a car with internal mods it can be a real crap shoot. You will need to have it checked out by a reliable shop/tuner. If the car has a bad Carfax the value will be less. All in all it could be a lemon or a cherry ,you need to figure out which B4 you dive in . Assuming all is good I think $25000.00 is a fair deal for both the seller and the buyer. If all is good the buyer will greatly benefit from the sellers cost of mods and cars depreciation .

Have you seen pictures of the damages before, during, and after repair? The car may not be entirely repaired to OEM specs and many shops gladly cut corners on materials and less noticeable areas. Were OEM parts used for the repair? If insurance paid the bill the answer is probably no.
I would expect a properly repaired car to be worth around $2000 less and an improperly repaired car to not be worth your time. |

Bump for anymore opinions. I plan on picking the car up here in the next few weeks for right around $20k. That being said I have seen a few recent guys in here where guys are saying that they are getting non accident lower mile cars for low $20s. I am a little worried at how comparable one with an accident history on file will compare in resale. That being said it is an AGM with Recaros and NPP and some decent aftermarket including kooks headers and cam so there is some rarity to it.

IMO 22K is a really good price for you if the seller takes the offer. 24K is a fair price for both buyer and seller.
I got mine for 18500 though i am living overseas and people here do not understand what 1LE is, they think its just another camaro. Although they pay the extra 4000$-5000$ for a "performance package" mustang lol. negotiation start low and ends up where you feel comfortable paying.

Don't you believe it ,these cars suck in the snow and ice no matter what tires you have. I lived in north Jersey until I moved to AZ ,and I remember well what it was like. Great car on nice roads when there is no snow, ice or rain ,but pure hell in bad weather. It is what it is ,a fun toy you can use for transportation in good weather.

This being said it sound as though many see this as a decent deal based on the price ranges I am seeing. At that point I guess I am a little more confident in my soon to be purchase. There is a few other similar 1LE (i.e. 1 or 2 of which are AGM) that have similar setups but at the moment they seem to still be listed in the higher 20's. For the difference I can't justify it in that I could put a LSA supercharger on for the car I am looking at for the difference. The accident was well documented, minor, and was repaired by a reputable shop so it really doesn't bother me to much just wanted to be sure others felt resale was there. Jared |

22k is a good deal. I bought my 2015 RRM 2SS 1le for 26K 32kmi clean title and it had a low speed impact in the rear cant even tell it was ever there.

+1 for a good deal. I paid $29k for mine (bone stock and not hit) 3 years ago with just under 22k on the clock.

I paid $29k in February of this year for my 2015 2SS/RS 1LE AGM with 4200 miles on it and $10+k in add-ons. Yes yours sound like a good deal also.
