Cool NEW MEMBER LOOKING FOR ADVISE!!!!!

Recently purchased a used 2013 2SS RS. Fitting my 5th CAMARO is a gen 5. Of course 1st order of business was a trip to PBIR in West Palm. Best time 13.09 at 106.82 mph. Was pretty stoked with that for a truly bone stock car. Now on to the question. Looking for advise on getting the most bang for the buck! Please Help a proud new CAMARO 5 member. Thanks in advance. Love this site!!!!!!!

Congrats on the new ride and welcome to Camaro5! Start with the foundation. You can shave a few tenths with some key rear suspension upgrades. Rear cradle bushings, rear trailing arms, toe rods, LCA bushings. Once that is in order then start adding power.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the advise! Most people go direct to the power adders first.

No problem. You are absolutely right. Power is more sexy but all the power in the world doesn't matter if you can not effectively apply it to the pavement. If you ever have any questions feel free to hit me up. That is what I am here for.

Much appreciated! How would this affect the every day ride quality and is it necessary or a better idea to consider the level 1 drag package?

How far are you trying to go in your mod plans? Stay NA? Boost? Stock with bolt ons?

You won't notice any negative side affects if going w/ a level 1 drag setup, as those components are not that aggressive. Are you an auto or manual? If auto we highly recommend getting a Circle D converter, some nt-05r tires, roto-fab cold air, kooks long tubes. You will notice a huge gain in performance and reduction in track times. If you would like to go more in depth on any items please feel free to call, pm, or email me anytime. We setup a lot of drag/road race cars and would love to do the same for you.

I'm a auto. As far as how far, well only time will tell i guess. For now mostly suspension and bolt on performance upgrades ( although the track does funny things to me ) . Maybe some cosmetic's as well! It is and will be my daily driver.

Congrats on your new ride! Your pretty lucky, not only do you have a track close by but an awesome performance shop as well. Howard with Redline Motorsports knows his stuff! I just dropped off my 2013 SS there on Saturday for a few more ponies and a tune. He was very helpful in helping me pick out a few mods according to what I wanted. Good Luck!

Nice ride. I'm kinda planning on starting off slow ( recently divorced buying a house as well ). If I start getting beyond bolt-ons I plan on going to my buddy with a high 10sec daily driver 06 GTO LS2. He has a small performance shop in Broward.
