2010 guys... Step inside.

Okay, have a question for you guys. For those of you that have 2010 Camaros, are any of you still running your original battery? The reason I ask is because I am still running mine and it runs perfect and I have not ever had any problems or hesitation. I guess I kind of look at it like, don't fix it or replace it unless it needs to be fixed or replaced. Do you think there's any reason I should? My car was built in September 2009. This thing seems to be perfect right now. Maybe it's because I have a tender on it 7 months out of the year.

Same battery. Stored the car for a few winters without a tender and just started it up every once in a while. Had it on a tender this year and it's still kicking. It's funny you posted this as I was just thinking the other day... Maybe I should change it?

I think modern cars start doing weird things when the battery gets weak and could possibly damage something due to low voltage.

Every 4 years no matter what. Got stuck at an airport parking lot with a completely dead battery that would not take a jump. Had to be towed. Nightmare!

I finally changed my original last winter when I went away for work for 2 weeks. I mean, I asked my fiancée to start it while I was away but she "forgot".

I had changed out my original battery in the 2010 LT2 auto when I swapped it for the SS this spring. I believe the SS battery is not original. I keep all my vehicles on battery tenders 365 days a year. My experience is they last quite a bit longer by using a tender.

I have my original and its works fine, but its too heavy. I am getting a lightweight battery at my earliest convenience

I changed mine out last year because it was starting to get a little sluggish after sitting for a few weeks at a time. I never had it on a battery tender either.

My 2010 spends 6 months out of the year on a battery tender. After six years, I began to notice that the charging voltage when driving was always pegged at 15 volts. Whereas, with a healthy battery, the charging voltage is at just over 12 volts once in a while.

Even though the car was cranking normally, that was a warning sign. Then came the occasional Stabilitrac warning, indicating that built-in-test voltage was dropping low enough to cause spurious error codes.

Don't be the guy who is stranded by an old battery! No battery is going to be reliable after 9 or 10 years, no matter the maintenance. Even 7 years is a stretch. A new battery is short money for peace of mind.

Just do it!

Still got my original battery here , never been on a tender and never been out of the car, plus we get cold winter's here -30 for months always stored outside as well. Thing is incredible for how long it has lived and still going strong
