PDR (Paintless Dent Removal) Repair

Does anyone have experience with PDR repair? I brought my car to the dealer for service and they parked it next to a car that (just my luck) left a ding in the door! I was SO FURIOUS and still am.

The ding is not that bad, but for someone that has never parked the car in a lot for that reason, I am totally infuriated.

My question is, does anyone have experience with PDR repair, and what are your thoughts on the quality of the final result. I was looking for the least invasive type of repair and wanted to avoid repainting the door.

Thoughts?

PDR is great if you get somebody experienced. The quality was 99% in my case, but you keep the original paint which is priceless and save a ton of $$$. If you need somebody good and don't mind getting it done in NY, PM me. I know a guy.

YES!
I had my Camaro parked in my garage, under the car cover, with my Buick Enclave, I barly touched the Camaro door. something told me to go back out and look, an hr later. sure enough there was a dent. but the guy who I've worked with before, did an excellent job. was like 50 bucks per panel. well worth it IMO. never knew it was there.

I've had my dealer do it a couple times on different cars. Each time came out perfect. I've looked closely and can't see it. They charge me $100 per dent but the guy they use is very good, so I'm OK with it.

There are some areas they can't reach, but they should tell you that up front.

I have had it done on my 2013, couldn't even tell when completed like others have said. I would rather have that done then a traditional method and ending up with mismatched door or one that fades at different rate than the rest of the car.

Had it done when I noticed a small ding on my passenger door shortly after I bought my Camaro. Best $100 I ever spent and I’m anal about my car.

I had a door ding, front passenger side quarter panel, a couple inches in front of the door. Turned out great. The paint still has a slight scratch in it, even after his polishing, but without the dent drawing attention to it you'd be hard pressed to find it. Super happy with the repair.

$100 bucks and 30 minutes later, completely gone. The worst dent is the back hips is what my tech said.

Yeah! Find a good one and they can work magic. So impressive. I had a ding taken out of my door. He popped it out, i was like, ah yeah looks good. He said, no, it's not perfect yet, and kept working it. You couldn't find it with a florescent light.

I used them to fix $400 dent and 3 days down time into $100 fix and 1hr down time when I had my 5th Gen camaro. No trace of the dent was left.

Took a golf ball to the hood of my IROC back when I was living next to a golf course. Had the car out of the garage to wash it and *BONG*.

They did a decent job of getting it out.

I had someone ding my car twice the second day I owned it as if on purpose. Same white paint transfer about 6 inches apart. Mine were along the passenger side door crease on a Gen 5 and were bad enough that I thought it was going to require a body shop to fix, but I tried the PDR option and could not even tell it had happened.

Just use one with great reviews in your area, I am amazed at what they can fix. I think most charge per panel, so the price is usually better than taking it to a body shop.
