Question Temporary OBD Failure?

2011 LT with48k - runs like a top. Friday after 30 min on the highway engine light came on and car lost most power. Exited, turned off for 20 min - it didn't reappear. Drove straight to dealer who didn't have time to check it - suggested it was likely a sensor failure that had reset on off/on and that I shouldn't worry about my 200 mile drive that evening which went fine - no recurrence since.

Any suggestions on what this was or how to find out?

You could stop at your local chain auto parts store... they usually will read odb codes for free... you may have a "historical" code stored that they can pull..

Codes were misfiring on all odd cylinders. Theory is that this was low gas level on a cold day.

no mods - and no recurrence for 3+ months now. I'll get the f/w update when there's time.

CEL came back on - same error codes - odd cylinders
- I see many misfiring issues from other folks in cold weather
- Asked earlier about SB PI 0284 - said there is no such thing & no f/w update for 20122 V6
- Dealer has no idea and asked me to return when it happends again
I see a thread on carbon deposits advising fuel additive and catch can
