Good Deal for Floor Jack
I recently purchased some 18" Wheels for use at the track, and as such I'll be swapping wheels often and wanted to purchase a decent floor jack that was quick and easy to use with our ZL1.
I came across this deal on Harbor Freight to get a 1.5 ton low profile racing jack for only $89.99, and then also sourced a coupon code to get a further $30.00 off that price - delivery is only $6.99 on top of that. I thought I would pass on the details as in my mind this is a fantastic deal for a piece of essential equipment for us ZL1 owners...here is the link and below that a picture of said jack... Coupon Code is 29552578 which you add once the item has been added to your cart http://www.harborfreight.com/rapid-p...html?hftref=cj Hope this helps at least one other person

Seems to have a pretty short reach limiting you to lifting it at the jacking points on the rocker panels rather than the frame. Not a big deal especially if you have a set of the nylon lifting blocks that fit right in the jacking slots.

Right - I'll be using this jack in conjuction with the heavy use magnetic jack pads of course - they work perfect with this and make lifting the car and swapping wheels a breeze

Is 1.5 ton strong enough to lift one side of the car?

Yes - I know other people have used this jack on the ZL1 with great success
The entire car only weighs a touch over 2 tons and you're only lifting part of that weight. Of course you should put it on jackstands if you are planning to keep it lifted for a longer period of time than just swapping out wheels or anything

yeah, there is a store right up the road from me. I've spent a lot of money there, and have one similar to this with a little longer reach. GREAT deal.
