Kenne Bell Blower in Super Chevy

The September 2013 issue of Super Chevy has an article on the installation of their new 2.8 L twin screw blower upgrade for ZL1's (ours stock is 1.9 L) Interesting article for those who want to reach mega power levels. It made 570 RWHP in a 2013 automatic at 13 lbs of boost then 653 at 18 lbs with a smaller pulley (their stock pulls were 466 RWHP with 7.9 lbs of boost).

Is the kenny bell a TVS blower? I have read that the 1.9 TVS in the ZL1 is equivilent to a 3L non-TVS blower. If this is true, the stock blower would be better unless, you put a big 4L on there.

No Kenny Bell and TVS are not the same. The TVS blowers car spin much higher rpm's but the faster they spin the less efficient they get. This Kenny Bell according to the original post made 18 lbs of boost on an otherwise stock motor. You can change pulleys on the TVS1900 and get 15 lbs of boost and around 600 hp but probably are not going to get to 18lbs without getting some heat issues. Your comment is very interesting though because there are a lot of people making more than 650 whp on the stock TVS blower. This KB could go more with more upgrades though.

I INSTALLED A 75 RWHP KIT FROM JANETTY RACING ON MY 2013 ZL1 VERT AND WE GOT
570 RWHP AND NO CHANGE TO THE STOCK SUPERCHARGER. THE NUMBERS SEEM LOW FOR THE AMOUNT OF $$ SPENT.
