I washed my Truck on Fri for the parade. I gave the Camaro a rinseless wash yesterday before I drove it to Cleveland so now it's got a lot of bug guts on it again. Today I worked on the camping trailer to get ready for vacation I repacked the wheel bearings and caulked some seals around Windows and trim where there were some gaps forming. I am just tired from that and I did not get home from Cleveland yesterday till 1:30 am and the dogs still woke me up at 6 am to go out.

Well we worked hard & were on track to get it all done when my in-laws came over & wanted us to go out to eat with them. So I took a quick bath & we did. We still got everything done except the biggest job.................the truck. It will just have to wait. We won't have the in-laws forever and..........well....................the truck is.............................a truck. It will be fine until next weekend. Now I am tired AND stuffed.

We all washed vehicles today.

Washed Claire's car first, it was disgusting from the dust storm. Smeared a coat of Americana on it and dressed the trim, looks real nice. Washed my Dakota, but the clouds burned off half way through the wash, so I had to hurry up and finish it. It too was disgusting from the dust storm, but it has to sit outside.

While I was washing Claire's car, pool builders came! On a Sunday! Wow!!! The helper wanted to talk cars while I was working. He wanted to see the Chevelle, so I pointed to the picture on the wall. I'm busy, don't have time to show the Chevelle.

Anyway, they tiled the pool, but ran out of tile. Tile guy said the plans were confusing, so he did not bring enough. He hopes to come back later this week. That will now delay the Pebble Sheen application. Not sure if we should shoot for a Labor Day pool party or not.

Finally downloaded my 4th of July photos. We can actually watch all of the fireworks shows in the valley from our upper balcony. Some are too far away for a decent photo, but I did manage to capture 3 shows in one photo. The last one was today's sunset.

Okay, I need to vent! I am soooooooooooooooooo pissed off!!!!!!! I have been planning for months to get my LT headers, high flow cats, H pipe front sway bars & end links installed & my HP tune for MONTHS! I have been emailing back & forth with the tuner a couple times a week about it all this time. I sent him a reply to his last email to me this morning. I just now get an email back saying he forgot he is going to be out of town this week from Wed through Sunday.


I have to plan my days off in advance. I have to cancel clients, clear a day, reschedule clients and figure out how to make up the lost productivity time. My husband is in the same boat with his schedule & clients. We both need to be of as it is about an hour & 1/2 drive from our house & the headers box won't fit in the Camaro so he needs to take the truck to haul the parts. Now we not only have a day off and nothing to do but too late to reschedule a full day of work, but we have to find another day we can both take off, do all that planning & rearranging of clients and I have to wait even longer to get my installs done. I am sooooooooooooo mad at this guy! If I had any other options I'd totally go someplace else. But he is the only one anywhere in driving distance. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I wish we could say ugly words on C5!!!!!

That sucks Janice I hate it when businesses have no consideration for their customers schedules. I hope you get it all worked out.

Well, I have calmed down some but I am still PO'd. I was so looking forward to Friday. Now it will be another week or 2 before I can get it rescheduled. I got off a little early today. Mike started on a new project in the yard. A little water feature. It is a tiny pond/waterfall in the area between the bottom of the deck stairs & the house. I guess we will work on that on Friday instead.

The buy out of my employer is complete. Wonder what fun I'll get to experience now.

I know that is unsettling Rick. Hold on & keep your eyes open. My company is totally reorganizing big changes are on the way. When Sr Vice Presidents & directors start announcing their retirements you know things are getting ready to seriously change. I am just trying to not think about it. I go in, do my job & come home. I am looking around to see what kind of jobs are out there but there are not too many options for me.

It is going to be a rainy, stormy day here. So much for my clean car. Have a good day all.
