Your driving your 1LE in WHAT!!!
These cars are limited production cars, so they are rare to start. I say if they keep wreaking them by driving in the snow knowing this is a track car then thank you because you will help boost my value and rarity. I can not understand why anyone would buy a beautiful sports car and drive it in winter snow with salt etc.. Makes no sense to spend big $ on a car to just destroy. Is it really that bad to just buy a beater rat during winter. I have a company car so my Camaro is garaged in the winter. If I did not have a company car I would just buy a Winter rat to beat up.

1LEs are limited production? I know they are rare but I didn't think GM put a number cap on 1LEs and would stop production once that number was met.

Our 13s are rare track cars..... You guys shouldnt worry..... Lol
We have a few all year round drivers in MI, I am not one of them. Never again driving a nice car in winter. My cobalt ss turbo is my DD and its killing me in winter..... Black too. I need a beater bad.

A car is a car. If I can afford to get a new one every few years why not just drive what I like year round? I love driving my car in the snow, salt, rain, -20 or any other issues because it's just fun to do. If you haven't had your car in the snow with good winter tires I think you're missing out. People drive their 50k+ BMWs year round and no one bats an eye but you do it in a 40k domestic and you're the anti-christ. Also the 1LE is never going to be a collectors item and if it is it would only be collectible if it has really low miles. Mine is being driven because that's what it was designed to do.

Beg to differ. I bought this car to drive it! I enjoy it too much to let it sit. But I don't have a 1le so I guess I don't count lol

I agree with both sides of the coin.
1. My car is my collectable. And I drive my old truck as my dd. 2. We measure snow out here by the foot. I coundnt have it as a dd if I wanted to, in the winter. |

To each their own. There are just slightly more than 1,800 '13 1LEs. Every year mine avoids at least 5 months of MI roads full of snow, ice and flying stones from decaying roads. The more my fellow 13 1LE brothers destroy their cars, the more that 1,800 number shrinks.

I was in Chicago last year in serious snow conditions and there was a Ferrari Testerossa covered in salt spray and had studded snow tires.
Some people just drive cars as cars and get to enjoy them all the time, instead of only on nice days. Yes are cars a small build option, but to a lot of people it is there only transportation. I used to daily drive my 03 cobra all year and in the winter. Like others stated it is going to 30 to 40 years from now they might become collectible, then how many pure stock will be around. Also look on ebay, look how many dealers swap out the stock wheels for plain SS wheels, thinking the stock wheels are after market. |

Not driving your car because you don't want to take a chance on damaging it, is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she is in better shape for the next guy.

Mine is a DD but in FL I can get away with that. If I was up north I would have a winter beater for sure. Rain in this thing is sketchy enough for me. Low 50s I can get 3rd to spin a little. Snow would be a real no go
