Update on the build

Long time member and have been on here since 2013. This car was been through a lot of changes since it's been gone. Right before we tore it down it was holding the #2 spot for SBE N/A with a 10.45 back in 2015. Things are picking up in a pretty fast pace. New goal is to get this roller race ready before I select what combination to run. Have pretty high goals for it 8.50s or better 1/4 mile is where I'd like to shoot for N/A and 7.90s or better with boost.

This car is not being built to break a record or to go after a certain shop/brand. This is being built more for me and challenging myself with high hopes.
I don't do things the traditional way but at the same time I like to party!

Here are some of the products I have plans on running.
Frankenstein's new F310 raised runner LS3 castings
Frankenstein's Freak Show Billet intake
Cam Motion 8620 Core with Spec's Provided by me (I don't share spec's)
Jesel 1.8 Aluminum Shaft Mounted Rocker system.
Holley Dominator/EFI
Neal Chance converter
Strange Engineering Everything (Suspension/Brakes/center section)

Wow! Those sure are some purdy looking parts man! Should be a hell of a build

That diff looks like it came out of an Abrams tank or something

Side note: is that the MT sportsman front tire? Any issues running that with the hoosier slick in the rear? Everyone says don't mix bias and radial...but that's the only front tire in the size I want, and being an m6, bias makes a lot more sense on the back.

Thanks man!
The slicks where mainly there for mock up and to move the car around. I'm more of a drag radial type of guy, my go to tire is the 275/60/15 ET Pro. You being an M6 you are better off staying bias ply on all 4.

I would guess you will cam it for boost and work around the NA goal. I would suspect youll get the car into the 3200 pound range. This goal is pretty achievable with out crazy parts. I have a friend running 8.6 in a 4200 pound car with a 410ci motor and still sorting the combo for low 8s. Really if the car sees no street action a solid 25x 27x with a tad over .700 lift to utilize the heads and short runner intake would be a hoot with 12:1 a fuel and boost What trans do you plan on running? All out race car id assume a glide.

At 12:1 with the 25x 27x, what would you recommend for a converter/trans combo, and boost? Not trying to threadjack, just curious of your thoughts

It would all be RPM based. I would assume he would be willing to turn it 7800ish so leaving off a trans break and 10-12psi id guess in the 5 - 6000 stall range. I have never owned an auto car nor built one so my opinion is useless lol
You can get it done with a TH400 but most going that far would use a glide I would think. We have a 3600 stall in johns leaving off the break and 2 step at 4000 and its just at 10 - 11 psi there. Hoping we can get it 4500 - 5000 and 12 - 14 pounds and get the 330 down some.

I'm actually leaning more towards the N/A setup more but still in the brain storming stage.

If I end up going boost I more likely build it around a class I can fit in. Weight goal for this car is under 3,000lbs or right around 3200lbs with all the turbo piping etc. I'll more likely build a 370ci or a small bore 346ci stock stroke motor.

I have a Rossler Terminator stage 5 that I will be using. I'd consider a glide if I end up doing a nitrous deal.

My N/A Compression target is 14.5:1CR .900" PAC Springs 1228, cam will end up in the area of 26x/28x .800"+ give or take. belt drive and dry sump setup 85-8800rpms.

Turbo compression target will be 11.5:1-12.0:1CR and will end up swapping to a PAC 1207X Spring and stay Hydraulic and spin it 77-8100rpms.

I have never seen O-ringed exhaust ports on LS heads before. Is that because the ports have been opened up larger than most gasket ports?
