Congratulations! Awesome car - awesome track times. I watched the video twice as I love to watch NA cars run hard and fast.

So are you daily driving it then with no hood? If so - that is brave! Also are you running exhaust cutouts thus allowing open exhaust at the track?

I guess my question is more how is he making that much power off an intake manifold, ported heads, a throttle body and a cam? I don't have supreme amounts of car knowledge but I guess I don't see what's so significant about what he's using to see such crazy gains.

Awesome job as always

Cam goes a long way on these cars. Peanut size cam stock for emissions. A cam alone can get around 100 hp gain. He’s got really good heads too. Best manifold for peak hp on his setup/cam rpm range. E85 fuel.

These cars see around 500 rwhp with bolt ons and E85. The right set of cam and heads matched to that rpm friendly manifold gets you 150 hp. I bet a stock manifold would cost him at least 30 rwhp peak. Probably more like 50+

Interesting, thanks! I didn’t realize a cam was that significant...

Thanks Bro! I run open headers at the track. For daily driving I just hook the stock NPP back up. I need that Stealth mode!! LOL

Cam and intake is huge on these engines... The LT1 has a stout enough bottom end to spin 7500rpm all day. Cam appropriately with the right intake to utilize the rpm and its going to make some steam. Not sure I would classify this kind of setup daily driver, but I imagine it still drives ok. For reference your average full weight daily driver heads/cam car is going to be a second slower then this and be in the 550whp range.

Is this true? 650whp? Stock fuel system? Track Attack cam or custom grind?
