Why 40 instead of 35’s in the front ?

Im considering 275/35/20 front and 315/35/20 Nitto NT 555 G2’s with a 1” drop

275/35 is a shorter tire height and will cause service stabilitrack fault occasionally.

I have 20x10 and 20x11 black zl1 10 spoke on pfadt 1.25 springs with the 275/40/20 & 315/35/20 combo and my fronts rub the fenders. I was going to switch to the 285/35/20 fronts in the g2's but they are on national backorder with no eta so I ended up ordering a set of 275/35/20 in the G2's and will know for sure this afternoon what the deal will be.

From what research I have done some people have issues and some don't for some reason with the 275/40/20 but in my case I do.

Well I got the 275/35/20 mounted. Don’t look bad. Gave me clearance I needed. Drove it home and no lights or anything came on or at least not yet

Why does no one ever mention speedo issues with various tire sizes?

It’s not enough that I worried about it. Stock size to 275/35 was 4mph slower on the speedo I think.
