Electric Power Washer, who owns one?

Been thinking for some time about replacing my old gas power washer with an electric one, problem is the cheapest one I feel comfortable with cost $550.

Anyone own an electric power washer that cost under $400, I know there's a lot of makers on the market but as I said the only one I would consider cost $550 http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...0514_200350514 .

Who's got one, what would you rate it and how long have you owned it?

I bought one for 250 from Home Depot. It lasted about a year before giving up. The hose on it was a pain the ass as it kept trying to coil up and it wasn't very flexible. Ended up putting it out on garbage day :(

Most of the reviews I've read say that most EPW don't run that well ( or at all ) after a year, the one Northern Tools has is more like a gas powered washer....I really don't think there is a good EPW out there for the price I'm willing to pay. Thanks for your input.

I bought this from Lowes 4 years ago and I use it weekly to clean the solar panels on my roof, and my detailer uses when he comes to the house on all 3 cars..

Actually mine is an 1,800 PSI that model above replaced the one I have about a year ago..

but *shrug* it's worked for me for 4 years thus far.. like anything else if you maintain it and don't abuse it, it should last..

I won't keep Gas anything around the house, don't like having cans of fuel around the kids or dogs..

all my yard tools are battery/electric mower, weed wacker, blower, chainsaw, etc. most are 10 plus years old, get broken down and cleaned and lubed every year, and haven't had any issues with any of them.

I don't know. I have had my Karcher EPW for over 5 years now with no problems what so ever. I doubt I would ever use it for my car though, as it is a pita to take out every time I want to wash my car. Not sure what the fascination is with these guns though. I will still stick to my 2 bucket method in warmer weather, and rinseless in colder weather.

I'm always afraid using pressure will wash the wax off...

I have and use my GPW all the time. Works well for getting a lot of gook (large objects such as bugs) off before even touching the car with a mitt.

Even I am using for a while and there is no such issues. I have used it for cleaning my car and bike.

I have one and never use it. What a pain to drag it out and hook it all up. By that time I could he halfway done washing.

but how much fun would a foam cannon be...... I love my gilmore but..... That foam cannon looks like alot of fun.
