Can't make a decision
I am trying to figure out what kind of exhaust set-up to go with on my 2SS/RS LS3 M-6. My original thought was a Borla Cat-Back. The more I think about it, I am looking at headers with a full after market exhaust system. I like the deep rumble at idle and not the high pitched "popping" like a cherry bomb. I know Borla makes a full exhaust system with headers. Even after listening to all the exhaust sound clips multiple times, it is still very hard to decide. Any suggestions?
Another question, is there a worry about throwing engines codes if headers are installed? If there are codes, are they easy to correct? And, do I need to tune the engine after the exhaust and CAI is installed? Thanks for any help out there

I would do the full tune after you do the headers/exhaust and the CAI.
That being said... I would suggest a set of ARH Longtubes with a Borla axle-back system...Many of my customers have told me that they love the sound of it, and the install is very clean. Yes you will end up throwing codes...btu with a tune, you will not only gain more power, you will correct for those pesky codes. If you have any questions please let me know....I am always happy to help, and have great prices. |

If you don't care about the factory warranty, go for the full exhaust. If you care about every little warranty claim being denied because the dealer will argue that your mods and especially re-prog of the car brain cause all the problems and you'll have fork out $$ for the fix......something to think about.

One of the best sounds I have heard is he Kook's 1 7/8" Longtubes with cats and the MBRP 3" catback... I am not a fan of the ARH-Borla axle back setup being that you have to reuse about 2 feet of your facytory exhaust. If I pay $2000+ dollars I don't want any part of my stock exhaust being hacked and reused.

Is there a video clip of the B&B exhaust? I like the SLP LMII personally so far, there is no popping with that system. However, if you do LT headers and tune the car you can eliminate a lot of the popping.
