Do any of you manual owners have any regrets so far?

This really is a 3 part question. First, did you get the manual because you really wanted a manual? Second, did you get the manual because you didn't want to wait any longer for the auto? Third, how do you feel about the car now that you've owned it?

I ordered a manual because I wanted to have a more direct feel for the car. I'm not saying the automatic is not great, I just like the feel of a manual.

Now for regrets, not a single dam one!!! It is amazing, I cruse in town and it feels great. Get on the interstate and it is also great. So much power, yet it is controllable. I love this car and would tell anyone on the fence... don't miss your chance to get this car.

I picked up my m6 ZL1 because I REALLY wanted it! All my cars but 1 have been manual and definitely prefer them. The 1 auto I had bored me to tears so I got rid of it within 7 months. Absolutely no regrets and I'm enjoying the hell out of this car!

My ZL1 was a dealer order. I would have skipped the sunroof if I was placing the order for myself.

As far as transmission, My sentiments match those of RRonin. My first Camaro was an automatic 2011 SS convertible. I became bored with the car after 8 months of ownership and traded it in for a 2012 SS convertible with manual trans. I've been buying manual transmission Camaros every since. I just enjoy driving a manual in this class of car so I will continue to order manuals as long as they remain available.

The biggest complaint I have about the new ZL1 is the lack leg room for the rear sets. The 5th gens didn't have the roomiest back seats in the world but they were at least useable. The back seats on the 6th gen are totally there for show. I took my 8 yr old grandson for a ride over the holidays and it was a major pain getting him in and out of the car. This, however, is the price you pay for a 200 lbs lighter car.

Other than the lack of rear leg room, I love everything else about the new ZL1. It's definitely a major upgrade over the 5th generation Camaro. So far I have absolutely no regrets with the purchase.

I love the car, and the M6 is fun to drive and I have no issues at all with it. Deep down I wanted the manual, but really wanted the techology and performance in the A10, with the added benefit that the wife could drive it too. I ultimately got the M6 because I didn't want to wait until the Spring... I do regret it to a degree, because my wife can't drive it... I may trade it in when the A10 comes out, even if I do have to eat a loss.

I got the manual because I have always had a manual and frankly I just really enjoy driving a muscle car with a manual. I just feel it is more fun.

The second question goes back to the first, I didn't settle because that is what I was going to get anyway.

Lastly, this car is amazing. No regrets at all. Its tame when you want it to be and it will scare the shit out of you when you want it to as well. The clutch and gearbox is more smooth than the 2010 SS I had before this one. Probably never getting rid of this car.

If people want the auto, that's cool, it was just not for me. I needed the manual.

The rear leg room has definitely been a worry of mine, as we have an 8 and 10 year old, but I thought it shouldn't be too terrible. Maybe scoot the seats up a little further than we normally would and make due when they're riding with us, but I'm a little more concerned after reading your comments about it.

Other than that, love hearing how everyone is loving the car!

No; as a matter of fact, the only regret I have is NOT getting winter tires (it's on race ramps now)

Not sure but I ordered mine specifically without it. Tell your dealer not to install one. If you later sell it to someone in a state the needs one, they can install it easy enough.

No regrets at all. I'm loving it more every day! I'm still in awe of the engineering and performance of the A10, though. I know it's going to be faster than the M6 and I can't wait to see it on the track in person but I love the feel of the M6 so I'm keeping it.

No regrets. Unless I was flooring it at every intersection or continually pulling highway hero runs, I think the automatic would have ultimately bored me. Love the work they've put into the a10 though.
