Because I can quote him and say he's correct based on information I've gathered from Indy, and the Fbodfather.

I asked around, and confirmed that the stripes will stop on the hood, and they will not go onto the facia on both the V6 and V8 models.

If anyone is wrong with information, it becomes apparent VERY quickly on this website. If I see that nobody is taking exception to what someone has posted as fact, I consider it legitimate. There are too many regulars here who absorb anything and everything that comes out of GM regarding the new Camaro.

I had a feeling the stripes would be the same on all cars, I just was presenting the conflicting evidence that we've seen in recent months. I'm still on the fence about the stripes. I don't know if I like them ending at the hood on the V6, and I don't even know if I really want stripes anyway. At least I have plenty of time to see how different colors look with stripes before I order next year.

Open Letter To F Bod Father:

Stripes stopping at the hood instead of the mail slot is a deal killer for the camaro purist. You Pushed back all these years to get the Camaro back to production and you need to push back on the stripe termination point issue as well.

The GM Slide showing the termination point on the front stripe just past the mail slot triggered the Order of my car and sealed the deal.

The point where a factory stripe ends is petty and the type of minor deal killing mistake that GM has been notorious for in the past - and need not happen on what has been looking like a flawless roll out to date.

If not resolved the Stripe issue will cause me to cancel the entire order for the car. Make no mistake - when I am dropping 40K on a car I do not want to feel duped. Please take action to fix at least on the factory cars.

I have to look at the car, I am a factory purist, and I am not going to look at something I do not like.

Customer is talking- Scott Go to bat for us again. We are counting on you.

You're going to cancel your order for the entire car...all it's performance, style, and value...over 5 inches of stripe? Isn't that a little...extreme? I mean, if you're already dropping 40k...what's another 2-3k to take it a step further and get them painted on?

It appears to me the white and cyber-gray stripe packages are the ones that don't go past the hood while the LPO stripe packages do go past the hood.
