Rookie Performance Driving School, TWS
Hi All- I spent a couple of days out at Texas World Speedway in August. Wanted to see if I would like racing etc...(oh and drive with no a/c or radio).
The track is 2.9 miles with 15 turns. Having never driven on a track before I did fairly well. Average speed (it was school not a race) 128-130. (day 2) Had a great time and would like to get back out there. Maybe not in 105 degree weather. Here are few shots.

Looks like a good time. Glad you had fun.
I've certainly enjoyed doing some similar events, and I'm glad they're becoming more common. |

Nice.
Looks like a great track. Did they provide instruction or just drive time on the track?

No A/C in Texas in the summer in a black car with a helmet on ??
At least they let you have the window open.

Thanks y'all. It was a lot of fun and yes very hot. Not so much on the runs but certainly afterwards.
I am overseas a lot so the August school was the only one I was able to attend. Since it looks like they will not close the track until late June I may book another weekend in Dec.
