5.0 is going down!
Ive had my camaro for 6 months now, and ive put a k&n air intake on it and a muffler delete...that being said what else can i do to beat any 5.0's that try to race me?

i have the m6, who has the best 3.90? and what else should i do if i put the gears in? ive heard you have to do extra stuff if you change the gears

With that K&N and a muffler delete you're not adding much to your SS. Gears and a tune and you'll be good to go. That, and learn how to get out of the hole fast. The Mustang is easier to launch with it's live rear axle. That being said, there will always be someone faster, whether you own a Camaro or a Mustang.

what you have is doing minimal, if anything for you. You need some gears or possibly a tune and LTs. With that said, there are plenty of the new 5.0s with a tune/intake on em and gonna come down to a driver's race.
Don't focus so much on the competition...always will be someone faster.

tune, fast intake manifold with 102mm throttlebody, gears, and possibly LT headers... or are you wanting cheaper mods?

yeah^^ thats kinda why i went a little overboard..
if its stock then you can forget about the manifold AND it could never hurt to throw more rubber on there... wider wheels on the back

From what have been reading on the forum, the fast 102 does not give you gains if you dont have a cam or nos or something bigger?

About half of the comparison reviews have the SS edging out the 5.0 in the 1/4 (m6 vs m6). Best investment you can do is work on your driving skills. As other have mentioned its the tall gearing that hold the SS back from its true capabilities.

^yeah it does work best with more on it. BUT there is never a problem with getting better air flow.
