Just don't carry perishable groceries -- or, God forbid, ice cream -- in the trunk during the summer. Unless, that is, you want your meal cooked and ready to eat by the time you get home...

LOVE this thread! The beautiful part of this entire C5 grouping of cars is that there is a Camaro to fit everyone's needs and desires. Tip of the hat to all those who a re driving their Z/28's and not letting them grow old sitting in their garage.

I'm still hoping to see one come out for some local track days so I can hear that baby scream.

I like to fire my take-home pizzas on either side of the trunk

Even transported in the front area, for some reason the milk carton is always full of butter when I get home? Don't know why?

So my other vehicle has been in for service for the last couple of days and I've been rocking the Z as my daily, with the requisite happiness grin imprinted on my face.

Splitter related incidents have been avoided so far cause after a while you get used to the dimensions and clearance and you don't think about it any more. Thankfully it hasn't rained yet.

Using the Z as a dd is also good exercise, at least for me, cause every time at a parking lot I park at the farthest most remote spot from the entrance. Some bastard parked three spots away from me yesterday and I .

As far as clearances go, I can state that you have enough clearance to straddle a possum dead on the road. I think he saw me coming an said I'm playing dead cause that cars' tires will flatten me like nothing else!

I will be out Todd if I ever get a weekend to myself. I am actually typing this at 36000 feet coming home from Europe. If you have a schedule of the next season be sure to forward it to me.

Have no fear and I will make sure you are in the know. I was talking to some of the other guys in the VCMC group about taking a few days and hitting a few tracks so they are looking at seeing if we can put a package together. I'm also looking at doing a group of training days at MRP so we shall see what we can come up with in the Spring. I've got a few other fellows I've met who are interested in doing some racing.

Just incase you are too busy I'll take your Z/28 racing for you and get some great video of it racing. I know it's a imposition but I'll take the hit and make sure that baby gets around the track and help wear down those Trofeos for you

Actually just trade out of a zl1, felt amazing but a bit soft and docile, imho. I drove the z, and to my surprise it was not as harsh as described. I am really enjoying the vehicle. I too am looking at having the splitter removed until I need to track.

it is a waste to remove the splitter...just recalibrate your parking a few feet out. It is not as low as many believe and not an issue at all...the same way daily driving is not an issue at all.
