There is always the chance they've been beat to shit, since there was no vested interest in them for the first 4-6k miles they were used as fleet cars. Some may even have been used for magazine/website testing & review.

Not like they're considered prototypes or similar. Most buyers, being the second owners, will be completely unaware of the car's history. I've seen a few CFT cars listed on Ebay recently.
I purchased a CTF car here in Canada, one of only 3 made for Canada and I'm happy I bought it. Not going to say it's worth more or anything but knowing its VIN number is different amongst the regular production is a bonus for me.

You can find out a lot of information if you dig deep enough for it so not knowing where it has gone and what it has done is no different than buying any other used vehicle you don't do your research on. It doesn't matter if the vehicle has 1 mile on it on 100,000 miles on it, do you really know what someone has done with the car before you have seen it. All you can do is assume low miles/first owner means not abused/directly came from production line.

Since my purchase came from a dealer and not Joe Blow from down the road I have faith it's been looked at before they bought it to sell to the public, plus it has full warranty.

Just my .02 cents. And strictly my own opinion.

Thanks Randy (ss/rs/378) your awesome at helping us sell our great cars.

Sorry our info is needing updated but yes in fact it is a 6speed not a 7speed.

The car was part of the CTF but let me clear up some info. Not every car that is part of the CTF has been trashed or abused this car is VERY VERY clean and showed no signs of track use or abuse in general. We had a contact at GM look back into the two Z/28's we had and told us that even if the car is part of the CTF it could be as simple as a gm higher up employee could have used it for daily use as testing. The Red car #022 was very clean and like I stated showed no signs of abuse period!

This could make someone one hell off a bad ass Z/28 and I'm personally shocked it hasn't sold yet. Probably doesn't help our two local dealerships also have two Red Z/28's But what is funny is we had two Z/28's at our "used car dealership" before they did

As mentioned, CTF cars can be used for any number of things including being loaned out for magazine reviews, ride and drives, executive eval. You never know what you will be getting or how the car was used or abused in its previous life.

The advantage of a CTF car is that they are maintained by GM and if there are any issues, fit and finish, noise, rattle etc they are fixed. Be aware, these were not only driven on sunny days. CTF Z/28s were on the road in late 13 and driven through the winter of 13/14 with snow tires.

I know others might disagree but for me personally not having the factory NPP (dual mode exhaust) would ruin it for me. I don't see why someone would put a Corsa on in place of the factory NPP. The factory NPP gives you the best of both worlds. Loud when you want and quiet when you want. But again that is just my opinion.

Yes Stock exhaust is included. Better question why not? The Corsa Performance Exhaust flows better, sounds better, and weights less. The Z/28 is a factory race car remind me again why you need it quiet ? We were just excited to be the first to install Corsa as part of the R&D and with the long running history of great products it was a no brainer for us. Could be removed and factory system install in minutes!

Do you have dyno sheets with the stock exhaust as a baseline and then the corsa system? If the system "flows better" did torque decrease on the low end? What are the weights stock vs Corsa?

Thanks.

No before or after numbers yet.... I based my above comment on facts that the corsa exhaust had better flow then the ZL1 npp by 51% Looking at the Z/28 npp vs. ZL1 npp the only visual difference is size of pipe from the cats to mufflers. The larger pipe Very well could make that flow number better but it hasn't been tested at this point. Weight, my bad I didn't weight it personally but was told it was less. I'll try to weight the two systems and let everyone know more as well as results once mother nature allows..... Damn freezing rain today

You said it: It's for the track purest. Period.

Everything and anything that adds weight, but doesn't make it go faster - was removed.

If you said the Corsa flows better. Based on what dyno numbers? Where are you getting your info, from Corsa?

I can't tell if that is sarcasm lol. At least I am pretty sure the Z/28 I test drove was a 6-speed trans.
