Change of plans? Z/28 or SS
Now with the possibility of the Z-28 coming out summer 2010 with the CTS-V's 556 hp engine (Road&Track April 09), are there any folks planning to wait it out in hopes of its return and forego the SS this spring/summer? or is it get what you know is being released and be happy with what you got? The Z-28 will likely be a steep sticker if competing with the Mustang GT500 which will put the sticker around $50K.

There is no certainty the Z28 will be produced. I am getting the 2SS and will be pleased with my purchase. If the Z comes out in the future it is a good reason to trade.

I'm waiting regardless if there's a Z or not (although that would definitely be my 1st choice!!) I'd need the HUD on an SS anyway, if I decided on that.
I'll wait a year or so and see where all the dust settles. If the Z doesn't make it to production, I'd probably consider a CTS-V or a 'Vette... no rush for me and lots of time to decide. Best regardSS, Elie

I'm ordering in Jan 2010 anyway. Hopefully by then we'll hear something about the Z28.

Hello!
|
Getting the SS now as a Z28 will sticker in the mid $50s I would think!!
If it's actually affordable to me...might consider a trade. But as of now, get the SS and mod it to 500hp. |

There will be no z in the near future. Not to mention the car would be north of 50k Right now I doubt GM could manage the cost of the program or justify it to thier lenders.
